Jade Norfolk

Jade Norfolk began her career in the arts while studying for a Bachelor of Music (Composition) and Diploma of Creative Arts at the University of Melbourne.While completing her degree, Jade became interested in orchestra management and arts administration, while learning to put together concerts for her composition subjects. She later gained her Diploma of Event Management after developing a passion for creating and producing events down to the very last detail.

Over the last 10 years, Jade has worked and volunteered as a stage and event manager at a variety of events, such as the Spring Early Music Festival, the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, 3MBS’s ‘Chamber Feast’ Festival and ‘Impressario’ by Opera Down Under with Richard Mills. She also operated as Orchestra Manager for John Hopkin OBE’s Masters of Conducting, and the Orchestra and Project Manager of My Music Room.

Jade currently works at Melbourne Youth Orchestras (MYO), performing roles in business development, administration and is now the Music Outreach Program Manager. In the last three years she has produced a variety of programs which have become a part of MYO’s core programs, such as a live-streamed Masterclass series in regional and metropolitan Victoria, the concerto competition - Virtuosity, and a residential summer camp which runs alongside the annual Summer School. Jade has also been a part of developing an online professional development program for music teachers, with renowned educator, Monte Mumford.

In addition to her arts and events roles Jade also produced videos for the 45th birthday year of MYO featuring short documentaries with fundamental alumni members.

Jade also owns her own childrens entertainment business, Sunnyface Parties.
