About Australian Saxophone Quartet (ASxQ)

Creating, reviving, and promoting Australian music both at home and abroad, the musical palette of the Australian Saxophone Quartet (ASxQ) ranges from classical music through to new and experimental music. The group aims to engage artists and musicians from a multicultural Australian community through innovative musical and cultural partnerships.

Each of the musicians has created a career in Australia and abroad, with members graduates of the Paris Conservatoire, Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Versailles Conservatoire, the Strasbourg Conservatoire, and the University of Iowa. The first rehearsals as a quartet with Joseph, Joshua and Yo-yo took place in 2006 during their time at the University of Melbourne & the VCA. In 2022 after a (very) long hiatus, the Australian Saxophone Quartet reassembled, welcoming Mary Osborn to the group.
